NORTHWOOD - The city's official Web site was hijacked this weekend by hackers protesting the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act.
The hackers claimed to be affiliated with the well-known hacker collective called Anonymous.
The Northwood site is apparently one of numerous sites hacked in the organized protest, but the issue appeared to be fixed around 8 a.m. this morning.
"It's being taken care of," said Web site Coordinator Cathy Reno. "It happened Friday, it was fine Friday night, and sometime after that they went ahead and did it again. It's being worked on."
