Elmwood softball sweeps Lakota

Elmwood's softball team had 24 hits Saturday in a 19-1, 11-0 sweep of visiting Lakota.
Elmwood's leading hitters in Game 1 were: Brittany George, 1-for-4, two runs, three runs batted in; Olivia Myers, 3-for-4, double, three runs, three RBI; Katie Bottesch, 2-for-3, triple, three runs, RBI; Madison Arnold, 2-for-4, double, triple, run, three RBI; Rebecca Harvey, 2-for-4, triple, two runs, four RBI; Tori Hillard, Miranda Benschoter, both 2-for-3, RBI; Ragan Yarnell, 1-for-2, three runs, RBI; and Chelsie Schmitz, triple.
Benschoter pitched a one-hitter, allowing only Morgan Gangwer's home run in the second inning.
Elmwood's leading hitters in Game 2 were: Olivia Myers, 3-for-3, double, two runs; Lindsay George, 1-for-2, double, RBI; Yarnell, 1-for-3, double; run, two RBI; Kristi Reiser, 2-for-2, double, run, two RBI; and Harvey, double.
Elmwood's Jenilee Myers pitched a one-hitter, striking out seven.
