KANSAS - The Lakota school district has given two of its administrators extended contracts.
At this month's board of education meeting, members unanimously approved five-year contracts for Sherry Sprow, high school principal, and Joshua Matz, elementary school principal. Their contracts go through 2018.
No raises were built into their contracts, said superintendent Dave Danhoff.
Sprow's salary is $75,283 annually and Matz' salary is $64,824 annually, according to the treasurer's office. Danhoff said he recommended the long-term contracts for the two administrations based on their dedication, level of professionalism, ability to relate to students, intelligence, command of curriculum and the new evaluation system for teachers, and their innovation.
