NORTH BALTIMORE - A village police officer has resigned following an investigation into his alleged misconduct while on duty.
Police Chief Allan Baer said the incident occurred in August and September, but village officials did not find out about it until last Thursday.
Once informed of the incident, Baer said the village began conducting an investigation, at which point the officer resigned immediately.
The incident stems from an allegation of misconduct of the officer and another village employee while on duty. The other village employee, Baer said, was not found to be in violation.
