Willmar International Inc. has announced it has broken ground near the CSX intermodal ramp on Ohio 18.
The company secured in April last year 76 acres of land one mile west of the CSX entrance, but broke ground the end of last week.
The company, which has been in business since 1999, plans to move its Findlay headquarters to the Henry Township site. The firm currently employs six people; when the new structure is open, that number will go up, but the company does not know by how many at this time.
Willmar's international logistics and transload company plans to increase the utilization of the CSX intermodal ramp for international containerized shipments. With this new facility, Willmar will be the only remote local filing-approved licensed U.S. Customs broker and non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) in the area offering international shipping, transloading services, domestic shipping and warehousing.
