Record high reached Tuesday
Bowling Green posted a record high of 81 degrees Tuesday.
The previous record was set in 1967, at 79 degrees.
BG Kiwanis Club hosts meeting
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club will host an Ohio District meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Representatives of all of the Kiwanis Clubs in Division 1 South will be in attendance. Division I South includes clubs from Bryan, Findlay, Hicksville, Ottawa, Paulding County and the E Club of Northwest Ohio.
Awards will be presented to distinguished clubs in the district by Bill Snellwood, the Kiwanis district state governor in 2011-12. Distinguished clubs must meet certain criteria including growth in membership, support of youth affiliated groups, service projects on a continuing basis and fund raising for new projects.
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club has received the distinguished honor each of the last three years.
