Lisa Lea Smith, 50, passed away on April 6 in Chesterton, Indiana with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on February 24, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Henry Leo Griffith and Evelyn Rose Meisberger, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by daughters Katherine Helene Smith and Hannah Jean Smith of Chesterton, and their father Andrew D. Smith, also of Chesterton. Other survivors include her brother, Thomas (Suzy) Griffith of Daytona, Fla., sisters Carol (Jack) Gallegos of Cincinnati, Ohio, Julie Nordstrom, Denver, Colo., Mary (David) Otis, Atlanta, Ga., Tina (Greg) Walsh, Park Ridge, Ill. and in-laws Larry and Colleen Smith, Bowling Green, Ohio, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
