Von Tipton, 83, of Portage, Ohio, traded a bed of pain for a mansion custom-made by a carpenter’s nail-pierced hands. As he took his first breath in Heaven with his heart strong and his body healed, he was greeted by his Savior and friend, Jesus.
Von was an independent insurance broker and retired in 1995. He served proudly in the Korean War but was most proud of being a husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend, and a man of deep faith. He was happiest spending time with his family, vacationing in upstate New York and Nashville, TN, singing in the choir at Trinity United Methodist Church, cruising around in his new truck, and talking politics with his cronies at Burger King.
