It's time to celebrate, what with Bowling Green High School welcoming a new football coach and new marching band director, plus the first home football game of the season, according to Bobcat Day catalyst Lee Hakel.
"I just really felt a need for the community to get behind high school sports again," said Hakel, explaining how she came up with the idea.
"We're asking people all day to wear red and gray" even if they're not going to the game, she stated.
"The goal is to remind everyone it's a new season," she said, and to remind Bobcat supporters the new season applies not only to the football team but to Coach Scott Seeliger and band Director Bruce Corrigan.
"We hope to keep people interested in what's happening with high school sports. Everybody does a better job when someone is there supporting you."
