Bowling Green art students are going to spruce up some of the city's snow plows.
Students at Kenwood, Crim and Conneaut elementaries, plus the middle school, will be painting the plow portion of four city snow plows.
The trucks will be on display during the Black Swamp Arts Festival next weekend, likely on the south end of the festival near 5/3 Bank.
According to Crim art teacher Noreen Overholt, each school has picked an artist, and will incorporate the school's mascot on a plow.
Fifth-graders at the elementaries and eighth-graders at the middle school will do the painting.
Crim students are depicting artist Mark Rothko and will add their cougar mascot; Kenwood will do Van Gogh's Starry Night with their eagles mascot; Conneaut will depict Piet Mondrian with its cat mascot; and the middle school chose Jackson Pollock as its artist with its bobcat mascot.
