Owens Community College is extending its reach in Hancock County by contracting with Millstream Career Center as a site for classes.
Millstream, on Broad Avenue adjacent to Findlay High School, serves 14 school districts in Hancock, Putnam and Wyandot counties.
The Owens board of trustees approved moving forward with the partnership plan at its Tuesday meeting.
Owens will offer expand its associate degree and certificate programs.
Dr. Melissa Green, vice president of the Findlay campus, said she hopes to start offering auto tech and culinary arts classes in January.
Owens and Millstream are currently working out the partnership, including the cost of leasing the space, she said.
"We are looking at programs we do not have the space for on the Findlay campus," Green said.
