Ron Sander, age 65, of Maumee, OH, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Veteran's Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. On January 30, 1948 he was born to Howard and Nellie (Binger) Sander in Findlay, OH.
He was a truck dispatcher for Cimarron Express, Genoa, OH, retiring in 2010.
Ron attended Elmwood High School, West Point Academy and Toledo University. While enrolled in Elmwood High School he was recognized as a three-sport athlete. He received: Basketball All League 1966, Football All League 1964-1965, All District and All State Football 1965, Elmwood's Athlete of the Decade for the 1960s and was named to Elmwood's Wall of Fame.
When Ron talked about sports he was a fanatic and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Elmwood High School fan.
Ron served in the Army Reserves.
