Amanda Smith, 19, was sentenced by Wood County Court of Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey Wednesday after pleading guilty to one count of complicity to rape, a first-degree felony.
As part of a plea agreement, a specification in the charge that the victim was under 13 years of age was dropped.
Smith, from Oct. 7 to Nov. 7, 2011, reportedly sent text messages encouraging the actions of Andrew Lemay, 24, Bowling Green, who raped and sexually abused a 16-month-old girl.
Smith requested images and details of the acts, which Lemay subsequently texted to her.
Lemay pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of rape and was sentenced to 45 years to life in prison.
Smith had been two months shy of 18 at the time of the offenses.
Like Lemay, Smith had sought to plea not guilty by reason of insanity in the case, and she was scheduled to go on trial starting July 31.
