PERRYSBURG - The Ohio Department of Education has announced it will fund Perrysburg Schools' Third Grade Guarantee Early Literacy and Reading Readiness proposal. Perrysburg partnered with the Islamic School of Greater Toledo and Maumee City Schools.
Perrysburg Schools is the grant's fiscal agent.
The total award amount will be $250,000 over the period May 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 for use in accomplishing the goals and project deliverables outlined in the application and budget.
"This grant affords us the opportunity to work collaboratively with a consortium of professionals to bring the highest quality of professional development, the latest research and the best instructional practices to our teachers and students," said Kadee Anstadt, executive director of Teaching & Learning, Perrysburg schools. "We are also very happy to continue to forge strong partnerships in our community."
