Harold John Johnson, 78, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in Bowling Green.
He was born June 15, 1935 in Mancelona, Michigan, to Harold and Areldene (Oldt) Johnson. He married Eve Blass on August 24, 1981 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Hal was a 1953 graduate of University of Michigan High School where he was an Eagle Scout and a member of the football, swimming and track teams. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his PhD from the University of Illinois. He went on to become a University Professor and Psychologist. He served as a clinical faculty member at BGSU from 1966 to 1992. Harold continued to supervise clinical graduate students until summer of 2012.
He was chairman of the Psychology Department at BGSU from 1971 to 1975. He was also Director of the Psychological Services Center for a period of time in the 1980s. Following his retirement in 1992, he was conferred the title of Professor Emeritus.
