MILLBURY – Six men are facing felony drug charges after the Ohio Highway patrol seized 907 pounds of marijuana, worth more than $4.1 million, and $13,908 in currency during two related traffic stops Wednesday in Wood County.
A trooper working the Ohio Turnpike saw a rented 2014 Subaru Outback and motor home following another vehicle too closely.
The trooper attempted to stop both but succeeded only in stopping the Subaru at Milepost 71.
The trooper detected an odor of marijuana and found marijuana on the driver’s pants. More than $9,700 in currency was found in the car.
It was learned that the Subaru was traveling with the motor home, and the vehicle was stopped at a service plaza at milepost 77. Another 907 pounds of marijuana and $4,188 in currency were found in that vehicle.
