PEMBERVILLE - The Wood County Park District is not planning on any salary increases in its 2014 budget.
The board discussed next year's statutory budget at Tuesday's meeting, held at William Henry Harrison Park.
The statutory budget is preliminary and reflects projected appropriations from departments within the Park District.
Director Neil Munger indicated that there were no planned salary increases for next year and, further, that due to the replacement of a ranger who resigned this year, salary appropriations would likely drop approximately $1,100.
The statutory budget anticipates just under $3.3 million in expenditures next year, with an unencumbered balance of about $3.7 million left over. It is nearly $365,000 smaller than the 2013 budget.
