New water source for Cygnet

CYGNET - The village will see a new long-term water source next week when the Northwestern Water and Sewer District completes a new 12-inch trunk main for the village's use.
The construction finishes a $1 million project by the district of approximately 7,000 lineal feet of an extension from the district's main on Jerry City Road. This connection of water treated by the City of Bowling Green at its King Road water plant will replace the village wells and local plant owned and operated by the district.
All homes in the village will be connected to the new supply.
Improved water quality, improved pressure and long-term capacity are several of the advantages of this tie-in cited by Bill Barber, the district engineer.
