King's Daughters and Sons
Twenty-two members of the Silver Cross Circle, International Order of The King's Daughters and Sons met May 20 at First United Methodist Church to enjoy a catered lunch.    
Hostesses Kay Bell, Emmy Hann and Jo Vernon decorated the tables with antique hats.
Ginny Stewart, owner of Bowling Green Hats and Apparel gave a talk about the history of hats and displayed some of the hats from her shop.
President Hann presented devotions and presided over the business meeting which followed.  Reports were made from the Spring Conference in Bucyrus.  Ten missions have been chosen to support by the co chairs of the North American Indian project.   Hand towels and washcloths have been purchased for the autism project.  A thank you note was received for the donation to the White River Health Care Center.
Hann installed Bobbie Lane as the new vice president/program chairperson.  Other officers continuing for another year, along with Hann, are Lyn Long, Joyce Stearns and Judy Hartley.  
Members signed up for various committees for the coming year, which will commence in September.
