She is the daughter of Kimberly Snyder and Leo Snyder and granddaughter of James and Shirley Mitchell. Katie is a 2009 graduate of Eastwood High School. She is employed with Wood County Hospital.

Shayla Curry, of Perrysburg, was among more than 1,200 students from Tennessee State University who received undergraduate and graduate degrees during the University's Spring Commencement Exercise held in May.
Curry received a bachelor of science in cardiorespiratory care science.
