GENOA - The Genoa FFA chapter recently held its annual plant and project auction. FFA members assisted buyers in carrying the plants to their vehicles.
Chapter members built decorative as well as useful projects for the auction.
Some of those projects included welding tables, shop stools, wheel barrow planters, storage boxes and a lawn utility cart.
Organizers noted two extraordinary projects, one involving a see-saw and the other was a planter box with a working fountain.
Plants sold ranged from apple trees and hanging baskets to blueberry plants and flowers. All the items were grown and maintained by the Genoa FFA.
At the recent state convention, the chapter joined with more than 300 other chapters in the state, as 30 members from Genoa attended the 85th Ohio FFA convention.
