Volunteer, intern fair is Friday
A Community Volunteer and Partnership Fair will be held Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Bowling Green High School Performing Arts Center.
The event provides an opportunity for people to find a place to volunteer or intern and to find volunteers and interns.
The event is a collaborative effort of Bowling Green State University, the city of Bowling Green, BG City Schools, Relay for Life, United Way in Wood County and the Wood County Volunteer Administrators Coalition.
BGSU athletics is Kiwanis topic
Mark Shook, the interim director of athletics at Bowling Green State University, will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Shook, a 1992 graduate of BGSU, was named interim director of athletics last month with the departure of Greg Christopher and will continue to serve until a full-time replacement is named.
Shook is in his seventh year on the athletic department staff at BGSU.
