Bowling Green Police and the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation are checking a home on the west side of the city after a death in the home.
The 66-year-old home owner was found in the residence May 9.
"Her death bears more scrutiny," said Deputy Chief Tony Hetrick of the city police department.
"Some things that were irregular" about her death, "so we are investigating it," he stated.
"We don't know if there's anything to it," but "we're looking a little closer at this."
Police, BCII and the coroner's office arrived on scene about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, and continue to hold the scene.
Hetrick would not comment on what tipped police off that the death might be suspicious in nature.
