Louis G. Wehde Jr., 88, of Perrysburg, OH, died Monday, May 13, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, OH on February 3, 1925 to Louis G. and Margaret (Berger) Wehde. Louis was first married to Marcia E. Wise who preceded him in death on January 29, 1980. He later married Mary E. Lewis on May 1, 1982 in Perrysburg, OH.
Louis was a graduate of Macomber High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was a self-employed contractor working as a brick mason. Louis was instrumental in the formation of the Perrysburg Township Fire Department in 1961, holding every office at one time or another. He was appointed chief in 1977 and held that position for over three decades. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
