To the Editor:
As a member of Bowling Green’s City Council and Chair of the Finance Committee, my responsibilities include an involvement in most aspects of the City’s finances. Like my colleagues on Council, I take those responsibilities seriously and closely examine any request for funds from taxpayers that may appear on the ballot. While being cognizant of the City’s responsibility to be frugal with taxpayer monies, I am writing to wholeheartedly endorse the renewal levy for the City’s Parks and Recreation Department that will be on the ballot on May 7.
