Community award (04-26-13)

Bowling Green was recently named a “Cyclist Friendly Community” by the Ohio Bicycle Federation. The award was presented to former Mayor John Quinn at the recent TMACOG Transportation Summit in Perrysburg. On April 15, Mayor Richard Edwards praised the efforts of the city’s Bicycle Safety Commission. With the award are Kristin Otley, recreation coordinator with BG Parks and Recreation, and committee members Tom Vanden Eynden and Steve Langendorfer, chairperson. The award is the result of two years work.
