FINDLAY - The RIDGE Project has announced a strategic partnership with Fresh Encounter, a regional grocery store chain, to better connect the community with a local food source, while offering quality produce.
The RIDGE Project has recently expanded its Farm-to-Plate program to include a Community Supported Agriculture Program. Produce will be planted and grown locally and naturally in hoop houses managed by participants in our program, providing the community locally grown produce versus buying and shipping produce over long distances.
"I am delighted to have the opportunity in working with a local employer to offer fresh, quality produce to the customers of Fresh Encounter through our CSA program," said Ron Tijerina, co-executive director of The RIDGE Project.
