Frances Louise Phillips, 79, from Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 2, 2013. Her loving family was at her side.
A "snow bird" for many years, she had been enjoying the winter months in Arizona and California.
Fran was born on December 1, 1933, in Arcadia, Ohio, daughter of Lottie Belle (Andrews) Garrett and Albert O. Garrett. She attended Arcadia High School and graduated valedictorian from Van Buren High School in 1951.
On July 16, 1955, she married the love of her life, Loren J. (Phil) Phillips in Findlay Ohio. Together they raised two children, Steven Kent, Phoenix, Arizona, and Beth Ann, Singapore.
Fran was the receptionist at Marathon Oil in Findlay Ohio, from 1952 to 1958. She worked at Huntington National Bank in Bowling Green, Ohio, from 1976 to 1996. She also worked for the Wood County Board of Elections and was an active participant in the Wheeled Meals program in Bowling Green for many years.
