CVS officially purchased 13 parcels at East Wooster and South Prospect streets Monday for its new pharmacy in downtown Bowling Green.
The Wood County Auditor’s website lists the sale price as $1.893 million from MWH CO LTD. The sale date is listed as Monday.
On Jan. 22 BG City Council rezoned the properties, better known as the former Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 218 E. Wooster, the former Ohio National Guard Armory, 212 E. Wooster St., and houses at 117 and 123 Prospect to B-5, to transitional central business district.
CVS is planning a 13,225-square-foot pharmacy on the property.
Demolition permits are on file with the city. Director of Public Works Brian Craft said Monday the city is awaiting confirmation that the property has transferred. Permits for any demolition also require that the city has confirmation that all utility services have been disconnected.
The former funeral home and former armory are vacant.
