WALBRIDGE - Village council is asking the Ohio Attorney General's opinion on whether the police chief and village administrator positions are compatible with one another.
As of last month, police Chief Kenneth Frost holds both positions.
"Obviously, some people think it is not acceptable," said Mayor Ed Kolanko said at last Wednesday's council meeting.
The mayor expressed his belief the two positions are compatible, but asked council to approve sending the matter to the state's top attorney.
"It is in my opinion we should put this to bed and put us all at rest," he said.
