Bowling Green's softball team quickly redeemed itself.
The Falcons - just 24 hours after having only two hits and eight strikeouts - collected eight hits en route to a 3-2 win Sunday over Ohio in a Mid-American Conference game at Meserve Field.
Katie Yoho's sacrifice fly scored Hannah Fulk to snap a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning for the Falcons, who earned a split of the two-game series after Ohio's 5-1 win Saturday.
The Falcons were handcuffed by Ohio pitchers Lauren McClary and Savannah Jo Guthrie Saturday, but BG's bats were effective in Game 2.
Fulk, Paige Berger and Yoho each had two hits in Game 2 for the Falcons, who struck out just three times.
"We really let their pitching dictate yesterday and we got behind in the count," BG coach Shannon Salsburg said. "Today, we came out much more aggressive. We were much more selective. When we were swinging, we were swinging at strikes."
