Elmwood's Lee honored
COLUMBUS - Elmwood's Dave Lee has been recognized by the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association as the OHSAA Ethics and Integrity Award Winner this season.
Lee will be introduced tonight at the state wrestling tournament.
In 25 years at Elmwood, Lee has compiled a 450-191 dual meet record with 12 league titles and three top 10 finishes in the state championships.
Lee has coached 62 state qualifiers, 27 state placers, four state runners-up and three state champions.
Lee's philosophy for his wrestlers has always been 'be a hammer on the mat and a gentleman off the mat' and he wants all his wrestlers to be 'assets to society.'
