LAS VEGAS (AP) — A judge set bail Thursday at $500,000 for an 18-year-old accused of being under the influence of prescription drugs when he plowed a speeding car into a crowded Las Vegas restaurant, injuring 10 people.

Suspect Gage James Lindsey conferred with his lawyer and said nothing as he stood in shackles before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Suzan Baucum. The judge gave prosecutors a week to file a criminal complaint stemming from Monday's crash. Arraignment was set for April 11.

Lindsey passed a blood-alcohol breath test after the crash, authorities said. Prosecutor Brian Rutledge said Thursday he was awaiting blood test results to determine what charges to file.

Lindsey was being held at the Clark County jail on felony reckless driving, driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of an accident charges.

The lunchtime crash upended sidewalk patio chairs and red umbrella tables Monday and pinned several diners beneath the vehicle after it smashed through a picture window at the Egg & I restaurant on Sahara Avenue.
