Melvin F "Mick" McGiffin Jr. of Bowling Green, Ohio died March 29, 2013 at the Bowling Green Manor. Mr. McGiffen was born on April 6, 1940 to Melvin Franklin McGiffen Sr. and Naomi (Dauterman) McGiffen in Mermill, Ohio. On February 14, 1980 Melvin and Merabell Louise (Pultz) married.From 1963 - 1965 Melvin served in the US Army. Mr. McGiffen was a mechanic for over 27 years working for the Wood County Garage, The Heinze Co. and Shedron's Garage. He was a member of the Village View Church of Christ.
Melvin is survived by his wife Louise, his children Scott Alan McGiffen of Rudolph, Jack Alan McGiffen of Cygnet, Amy Lyn (McGiffen) Couch of Fostoria, Matthew Christian McGiffen of Indianapolis, Terry L. Brown of Rudolph, Kit L Brown of Rudolph, Jewel (Brown) McAffee of Bradner, Edith L. Brown of Bowling Green, and Evelyn L (Brown) Proffitt of Cygnet, 24 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and his sister Frances Duty of Perrysburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Annie Laurie McGiffin.
