Former Tontogany man recovering from injuries

Dayton fire Capt. Barry Cron, formerly of Tontogany, has been released from a hospital is recovering from injuries sustained early Tuesday after was struck by a vehicle at a crash scene and was thrown  20 to 30 feet.
WDTN-TV, Dayton, reported that Cron was speaking to a victim of a crash on U.S. 35 when the incident occurred.
Cron, the son of Arla Mae Crawford, Tontogany; the late Jack Crawford and the late Robert Cron, was promoted to captain last Nov. 21.
A 1984 graduate of Otsego High School and 1989 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Cron volunteered with the Washington Township Fire Department in Tontogany until being hired by Prince William County, Va. Fire and Rescue in 1989.  He was hired by the Dayton Fire Department in 1992 and promoted to lieutenant in 2001,
He and is wife, Allison, live in Dayton with their children Anastacia, William and Sophia, who are triplets.
