
He was the first member of the Judge family born in the United States on March 15, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Leo and Bridget (Carroll) Judge, who were immigrants from Ireland. He married Karen Klingbeil on November 18, 1961 and she survives in Bowling Green.
He attended Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago. He then went on to graduate from DePaul University where he was the president of his fraternity Alpha Delta Sigma his junior year.
He served two years active duty in the United States Army.
Joseph was extremely proud of his Irish Heritage. He was an avid sports fan taking special interest in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls.
