MILLBURY - Using new software, Lake School District administrators expect to collect up to $150,000 a year from Medicaid.
At its Nov. 20 meeting, the board of education approved a service agreement with MSB Consulting Group for its software, called Waypoynt. The contract is from Nov. 6 through Nov. 5, 2016.
The software will be used to identify services that Lake staff provides that could be reimbursed. They include audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychotherapy and some transportation.
"They estimate they will be able to … get us reimbursed for $140,000 to $150,000 a year," said Superintendent Jim Witt.
MSB will take a 7 percent fee from what it recoups, Witt said.
Also at the meeting, the board modified a recommendation from the co-curricular committee to create a high school/middle school drama club adviser for $972.
