Louis Konrad, 92, of Grand Rapids, OH, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home. Louie was born to the late Eugene and Mary Konrad. Besides his parents, Louis is also preceded in death by 6 sisters and 3 brothers.Louis is survived by his loving wife of 63 years: Ruby (Scott); children: Sandy (Roland) Perry, Pat (Rick) Bruielly, Ken Konrad, Jean (Chris) Terry; grandchildren: Brandon Perry, Dakota Perry, Sara (Victor) Meyer, Erica Bruielly, Leeanna Bruielly, Josh Konrad, Megan Konrad, Ryan Terry, Michelle Terry; great-grandchildren: Trevor and Lane Meyer.
Louie served during WWII in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ranger and held the rank of Seaman First Class. Louie managed the Weston Alfalfa Mill for 28 years. In 1990, Louis retired from Bowling Green State University after 18 years of service as a Boiler Operator. He enjoyed gardening, horse back riding, wood working, but his true passion was his loving family.
