Donna Irene Vatan, 72, of Bowling Green, passed away on November 24, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.She was born on May 22, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan to Milton and Hazel (Worth) Carrigan.
Donna is survived by three children: Deanna (Jeff) Woodhouse of Bowling Green, Heidi (Mike) Popovitch of Maumee, and Michael Carrigan, who is currently working abroad; two grandchildren, Alexander and Nolan Popovitch, both of whom will dearly miss their "meemaw"; and her brother, Milton Carrigan Jr. (John Alongi) of San Luis Obispo, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hossein Vatan.
Donna began an extensive career in higher education in 1969 when she was hired as a faculty member in the Home Economics department at Bowling Green State University (BGSU).
