Familiar Face: Peggy Naus

Peggy Naus a registered nurse and public health nurse for Wood County Health District, who retired Friday, is this week’s familiar face. She has served nearly 19 years with the Health District, starting as a case manager for the breast and cervical cancer screening program and then becoming a head nurse of the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps. She also works part time for Bridge Hospice. Before her time with the Health District, Naus worked over 20 years as a surgery nurse for surgeons Douglas S. Hess and Douglas W. Hess and Wood County Hospital. She has been a Golden Key 4-H club adviser for 25 years and helps tend to a family farm. She is a lifelong member and teacher at South Liberty United Methodist Church. In retirement, Naus plans on going camping with her husband Dennis and spending time with her grandchildren.
