Charges are pending against a Monclova woman who authorities say attempted suicide by driving into the path of a semi tractor-trailer Wednesday.
Doreen Papenfuse, 55, was taken to Wood County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, at 3:39 p.m. Papenfuse was eastbound on Route 6 near Ohio 199 when she traveled left of center in order to strike a westbound semi driven by Joseph Goudreau, Ontario, Canada.
Goudreau was not injured.
Investigation into the crash revealed it was a suicide attempt on the part of Papenfuse.
