BG man pleads guilty to three counts in death of son

Brian Steinmiller pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, and two counts of child endangering Wednesday in the death of his infant son, Carter, last year.
The plea was made in the courtroom of Wood County Judge Robert Pollex.
Under a plea agreement, prosecuting attorney Gwen Howe-Gebers indicated that Steinmiller, 31, of Brim Road, and his attorney, Alan Konop, have stipulated to a term of 10 years in prison for the offenses, though that may change when sentence is imposed.
The infant died on May 5, 2012. According to information presented by Howe-Gebers, the child suffered numerous broken bones, fractures and burns.
Sentencing is to be held Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
