A Bowling Green State University student accused of raping a 19-year-old woman was to be released on his own recognizance following an arraignment Tuesday.
William Dale Jackson, 20, formerly of McDonald East Residence Hall on the BGSU campus, appeared in the courtroom of Wood County Judge Robert Pollex.
Jackson pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and two counts of sexual battery in the Aug. 25 incident, which occurred in the 800 block of East Wooster Street.
Jackson was indicted by a Wood County grand jury in the case last week. If convicted, he could face 21 years in prison.
