Two men - including a Bowling Green State University student - were indicted on sex charges by a Wood County grand jury on Wednesday.
William Dale Jackson, 20, formerly of McDonald East Residence Hall on the BGSU campus, was indicted on one count of rape and two counts of sexual battery in an incident which occurred on Aug. 25 in Bowling Green.
According to the indictment, Jackson engaged in sexual conduct with an unnamed female, age 19, whose ability "was substantially impaired because of a mental or physical condition."
Information from the Bowling Green Police Division indicates that officers responded to the 800 block of East Wooster Street early that day on the report of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, witnesses pointed to Jackson and an unconscious female in the yard of a residence. Jackson reportedly did not know the victim, and the woman was found to be intoxicated beyond the ability to consent.
The rape count is a first-degree felony, and the two sexual battery counts are both third-degree felonies.
