(updated 11:40 p.m.) Bobcats down Fostoria, 35-6 (9-6-13)

In contrast to its season-opener, a 13-7 loss to Rossford, Bowling Green was ready to play Friday night in its home-opener against Fostoria.
The Bobcats scored three touchdowns in the second quarter on the way to a 35-6 victory. It was the first win for Scott Seeliger, who is in his first season as BG’s head coach.
‘‘We came out right in the beginning and played hard,’’ Seeliger said. ‘‘We kind of felt our way into the game last week.
‘‘We executed well, we were playing physical — that was the biggest difference,’’ Seeliger continued. ‘‘We got some momentum and just jumped on them ... Our execution on both sides of the ball was really a step up from last week.’’
