Eugene Reed Franks, 81, of Findlay, died at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Van Buren to the late Eugene S. and Martha (Reed) Franks. On November 9, 1952 Gene married Cartha M. Steinhurst and she survives along with four children: Eric E. (Jody) Franks of Weston, Glenn R. (Deborah) Franks of Findlay, Laurie (Juan) Correa of Garland, TX, and Lisa (James) Rettig of Tampa, FL. Gene is also survived by one sister, Jo (Hugo) Ecklund of Houston, TX; brother Michael L. Franks of Findlay; 12 grandchildren: Carrie (Champy) Halim, Colin A.
