The measure was passed unanimously at a special meeting held Tuesday evening.
"We've been trying for years to get Liberty Hi done, and we don't rank high enough on the point system to get it," said Councilwoman Ashley Brooks of the plan, noting that the collective effort might be more fruitful.
The application to the State Capital Improvement Program and Local Transportation Improvement Program is to be submitted by the Wood County Engineer's Office on behalf of Haskins and at least five other area villages, including Weston. Liberty Hi Road borders Haskins on its western edge.
