The Bowling Green Police Division has issued warrants for Hui Zang, 23, Toledo, in connection with the kidnapping and robbery of a University of Toledo Chinese exchange student.
Zang was identified by the victim as a possible second abduction victim but was later determined to have been involved in the on-line chat that convinced the victim that he should go with her to Cedar Point. Police investigation into the incident revealed that Zang had contacted several different UT students on a Chinese language site called Q Q in an effort to set up the kidnapping and robbery. While on-line she portrayed herself to be a UT student in attempts to gain the trust of potential victims. Zang was present in the vehicle when the victim was picked up and remained part of the incident during its entirety, police said.
