Three men will be serving time behind bars after sentences handed down recently by Wood County Judge Reeve Kelsey.
John Wansitler, 51, Jerry City, pleaded guilty to two fourth-degree felony counts of gross sexual imposition stemming from events occurring in Jerry City in January of 2006. Wansitler's victim was identified as a juvenile female between the ages of 10 and 17.
He was sentenced to two consecutive 17 month terms in jail, totaling 34 months. He must also pay a $5,000 fine. He will be subject to five years of community control sanctions upon release.
Cody Swank, 20, Grand Rapids, pleaded guilty to a third-degree robbery charge stemming from an incident occurring May 15 at Wal-Mart in Bowling Green. According to court documents, during the offense, Swank attempted to either push or strike a loss prevention employee at the store.
