The 10th annual Wood County Living History Day is Sunday at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Seven re-enactors will provide first-person interpretations in period-appropriate clothing of Wood County citizens interred in Wood County cemeteries. Those people chosen by the Living History Committee were picked because “they had a story to be told” and it was felt the rest of the community would enjoy hearing it.
Honorees include:
• Francisco Chavez Hernandez — Well-known for his baking skills that began at age 12 while helping in his uncle’s bakery shop. Portrayed by Carlos Calderon, maternal grandson of Francisco Hernandez.
